Belgian Waffle Recipe
It is easy to differentiate Brussels waffle; rectangular sides with Liege waffles. Here is a simple recipe for you. Although this recipe is more traditional, you can use bisquick. Bisquick is used in many basic recipes as cake flour or to make cookie dough.
Ingredients:
- 500g flour
- 7g instant dried yeast
- 4 medium eggs
- 1 cup Milk
- 250g Butter
- ½ teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- Salt
Method:
- Heat a cup of whole milk until it turns lukewarm. Then mix in the yeast and leave it aside.
- Melt the butter until dissolve and not burn. Then remove from heat.
- Separate the egg whites and egg yolks. Beat the egg whites until fluffy.
- Take a big mixing bowl; pour in the flour, vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, melted butter, yeast mixture and the egg yolks.
- Mix all ingredients except the egg whites until the dough is not lumpy anymore. It should be thick.
- Fold in the beaten egg whites into the dough and mix it slowly then stop.
- Leave the dough in room temperature for at least 30 minutes for fermentation until it doubles.
- Grease the waffle maker iron. Scoop some dough on to it. Bake until it turns golden brown.
- Best served hot with your favorite toppings.
